IT'S TIME TO FEED THE BABY.

When carny Yanka, escaping the strict and abusive control of an older lion tamer, lets loose one night with a young traveler despite her better judgment, all hell quite literally breaks loose... exploding out of a tiger's body! The cause of this strange, bright red and gooey phenomenon is about to become Yanka's one way ticket out of carny hell, for better or worse, by inhabiting her body like some crazed mutant fetus. Unfortunately, her new passenger has some demands that make our scrappy protagonist a little uneasy: murdering innocent men to feed its insatiable desire for blood. As Yanka terrorizes Paris for her satanic-alien-baby, the unlikely duo form a surprising psychological bond that's even more unsettling than any of the cold blooded murders she commits.

BABY BLOOD plays like a French post-new-wave crime film like THE STRANGLER impregnated with the inordinate amounts of gore associated with 80's slashers like RE-ANIMATOR or HELLRAISER. With a surprising amount of artistry, not only in the goo department, but in its formal techniques, BABY BLOOD is elevated from any old B-grade horror to something much more deliberate and at times downright SCUM Manifesto level radical.

FOR FANS OF: Abortions; if Jodorowsky's SANTA SANGRE was about the mom and it was a come-up story; Kier-la Janise's House of Psychotic Women; MS. 45; evil disembodied muppet voices like Elmyr in BRAIN DAMAGE; Cronenberg's THE BROOD.
