NO ONE is prepared for BLACK MAMBA. A profoundly crazed, genuinely psychedelic anthology from undiscovered auteur Belinda M. Wilson, this movie follows Black Mamba (Wilson), some sort of witch(?), as she uses her diabolic powers to provide clients with their deepest, darkest desires. But not all wishes (none) turn out for the best (in fact, the worst).
Let us be clear: This movie is insane. On offer is an unimaginable deluge of breathtaking images you have never in your life dreamed of beholding. Filmed using more green screen than SPEED RACER, Wilson has a lot of ideas and will let nothing stop her from putting them into this film. The only points of comparison we could draw would be to call it a 21st century TALES FROM THE QUADEAD ZONE, Neil Breen without the vanity, a Black BIRDEMIC from a bona fide artist possessed by the spirit of Ed Wood and the moral clarity of IF FOOTMEN TIRE YOU. All the tastelessness of the most deranged Joe D'Amato film and the melodramatic whiplash of Tyler Perry combine for something so unique you will be throwing your copy of FINAL FLESH into the garbage can. BLACK MAMBA is a work of passion and impoverished creativity that raises the bar for what we’re looking for in the endlessly unfathomable realm of homegrown horror.
“Maybe one of the wildest films I’ve *ever* seen. When you’re reaching your hand into the big bucket of Tubi slop and you’re trying to find a genuine piece of outsider art, this is the movie you’re looking for.” - The Important Cinema Club
