Expanding on the tradition of youth crash-out movies like THE BLING RING and PROJECT X, CROC DOSE is a hyperactive Gen-Z comedy that offers a non-stop extravaganza of digital stimulation. The single-minded Jimmy is on the prowl for alcohol, drugs, and girls for tonight’s big party. His best friend, Curtis, however is in the midst of a heartbreak and can’t move on past his feelings for Jane. When the heady Abe enters the picture with his strange ability to acquire the aforementioned essentials, the scene is set. Nearly a wall-to-wall montage, the film is crammed with on-screen texts, social media profiles, maps, constantly shifting compositions, split screens, dissolves, overlays, all set to the tune of a series of remixed earworm pop/emo ballads. If you’re able to access its wavelength, it's intoxicating, even hysterical.
